Prime Meridian was born when Joan, our founder, woke up one day and realized how far she had drifted from her passions. A graduate of New York City's famed Fashion Institute of Technology, (many years ago!) she started her career as a buyer's assistant in a classic department store.
New York then, as now, felt like the center of fashion. The center of so much, really--media, finance, cuisine.,theater, art. A time to test boundaries, to live, and to grow. Then the book publishing world came calling and before she could say, "Turn the page," the years had flown by, new careers had launched, and love and family came to call.
Fast forward to now and that love of fashion that's always been there is rearing its beautiful head. But there's not much to see! Where's the style for women in their prime?
No one should settle for baggy coverups, cheap fabrics, and ugly colors. Certainly not women like us who earned every smile line, withstood fads, and followed our very own north stars. So this is for us--this is Prime Meridian.
No more settling--we know what we deserve.
